7/31/2018 - On a Dark Desert Highway

Aye, mama. This week went well except I ate an uncooked hamburger and it's thrown me off my groove for this past couple of days.  I also rolled my ankle like 6 times this week. Cursed satan knows I got myself some weak ankles and he's been throwin' obstacles in my way on the daily trying to take me out the game, "but don't be alarmed, I am fine".

The rains have been hitting us pretty hard these past few weeks as well. It's crazy how everyone from my age group is getting home already. If I would have left right after high school I would've been home by now haha.

I am in my last cycle of training and we have transfers this weekend so we will see what happens. I've basically been in the same area for the first year of my mission so maybe I'll get a new view... or maybe not. Sorry, I don't have any photos this week, but next week I'll have some for ya for sure. Gotta give to the people what they want.

You know what I miss? GRASS! I haven't seen a nice solid lawn since September 08 it feels like.  There is no grass here. I'll never take having a lawn for granted again and that's the truth.

The ward here is a really hard ward to work with though, to be honest. There is a lot of pride in one of the wards I am in, (oh yea I don't know if I told you we work in 2 wards) but one of them is tough and a lot of our recent converts have already inactivated because of the lack of support, love, and humility from the ward members. It's a little upsetting, but I know as long as I fulfill my calling everything will be ok. That's all I got for yall this week but I love yall. Have a good week.

7/24/2018 - Trench Foot

Whats up my babies?  How is everything goin up there? Mexico is the same as usual not much changes down here very often. The only bummer is I can't eat habanero anymore. I've become a lover of spicy food but its starting to cause some damage on the insides. I guess I'm not a true Mexican at heart.

Happy Pioneer Day everyone. So grateful that the pioneers settled in the Salt Lake Valley and all the sacrifices they made. God bless the good ole state of Utah.

I'm doing good not much to report on. The mission has been a great experience so far and I am happy to be out here. It is been pretty darn hot out here lately so that's a bummer. I would love to just be neck deep in that gnarly Utah pow pow right now and be hittin a 40 foot kicker.

We also helped a young mother with her gardening work this week and cleaned up her yard. Oh wow, that thing was a mess. It low key reminded me of the duplex haha.  But the positive is she accepted a visit from us so we will see how that works out. I'm still just super excited to learn some knowledge from Elder Bednar next month.

Part of my toe is starting to fall off but I don't think it should be a big deal. I'll just tough it out like the bloody ankles. Love Ya. Sorry, I'm boring in my emails but I'm doing great so don't worry.

7/17/2018 - Polanco

Yo yo yo whats up fam!? This week I went to Polonco to renew my visa. It was fun because I got to see everyone from my old district in the MTC. We got to walk around a little down town, its a lot like a downtown New York City or LA type vibe, its not too different, just everything is in Spanish. The best part is we got to go to Costco and the Tanners bought us Costco pizza and the frozen yogurt things they have and it was so good. We stayed over night on Thursday in the temple dorms, it was cool. The picture I had to take for my Visa looks like a mug shot, like I just killed a guy, got caught red handed and don't even feel bad a bout it. I'll attach a picture. That was pretty much the highlight of this week for me.

Also we found out that Elder Bednar is coming to the mission in August and he is going to do a conference with all of us.  He is like my favorite apostle so I'm pretty stoked I guess you could say.

Can't believe Alex Smith went to the Redskins, he's still an Indian, now just has a different ethnic slur. And Bron Bron went to the Lakers, what a joke. He still the best in the game though. I might have to buy myself a Lakers jersey when I get home haha. A lot of people here hate France. who knows why, but there are a lot of people upset about the World Cup.

Love ya'll have a good week, don't trip.
