10/24/2017

How is life in the valley? This week was good we just chillin in the concrete jungle outchea. We were able to go to plaza Aragon. It is the biggest mall I've ever seen. We got special permission because my comp needed a new suit, so I bought some saucy gear, a backpack, jacket, and a few ties. As for the package, I am sorry mom but all I got was the Jordan sweater, a few shirts, the mp3, and the speaker. None of the other stuff was there. The worse thing about this place is the smell is gnarles barckley. There are more smells in this place than a chuck e cheeses.

Cool story: I had to look on family search this week to find out how to use it because we taught a fireside about family history on Sunday. I found out we have family here. Hernan Martin who migrated from Spain moved to the Durango area, and some of his children moved to Distrito Federal, which is Mexico City. This is curious... maybe I'm here to find some of our distant family and dunk 'em in the waters of Mormon. That's my fun story for the week.

The language is coming along little by little. I'm at the point where I'm able to understand a lot of the words beings said but my brain still wants to translate it into English so I have to think about what they are saying and try to translate it in my head and I fall behind on the sentence. So it's still a wee bit frustrating but the progression is coming though there are some people who I have no idea what they are saying, usually older men. I am learning a lot and can say things in my head but when it actually comes to talking it is almost like I just revert back to the basic MTC Spanish. I don't know why I just need to apply what I learn throughout the entire day while I'm walking and stuff. Anyways I dont know what else to say.

Love ya. God Bless.
