La familia, now I'm one year older and wiser too. Thanks for all the Birthday love. This week went very well. We were able to see a lot of miracles this week in our area. We found some new people to teach, so I can not complain. The weather here is getting to me though, some days it pours and is overcast and pretty cool and then other days it's hotter than Satan's armpit. I'm getting baked out here in the Mexican sun, I feel like a honey glazed ham half of the time.
Lately we have had a fairly hard time finding the "elect." We have been finding people, just not people who want to get baptized. So we are still working on relying on the Lord to lead us to his elect and to those who he is preparing to listen to the message of the restored gospel and be baptized. It's hard out here in the streets sometimes but we know that the Lord is guiding us through.
We also tried working with a lot of recent converts and less actives. The fruits were not so visible, it is so hard trying to work with these people sometimes. Some people are so prideful and just don't want to return to church, and some recent converts, think this is the catholic church so they just have to throw up a few Hale Marys every day and they will be saved. It is DIFFICULT, but we got to go after those lost sheep ya feel?
We ate with the Garcia Uribe family for my birthday it was so neeeece.... they made me some ribs... "I want my babybackbabybackbabyback.... Chillis baby back ribs" ouuhhhhhh! scrumptious. It was really good. Not as good as back home but I was satisfied 100% . They also got me a huge cake. I actually share a birthday with Addy, one of the sisters in that family, so it was really cool. There were other members that also got me stuff for my birthday, this ward is awesome. Unfortunately I will be leaving it... but its OK, wherever the Lord sends me, I will go!
